Hospital Admission
Hospital Admission: Most patients undergoing Breast Cancer surgery will stay in the hospital usually 1 or 2 nights. Dr Geere will review each patient prior to discharge to ensure there are no wound concerns and that her patient’s are comfortable.
Patients are usually discharged with water-proof dressing in situ. These usually remain in situ for at least 5 days. Analgesia will be supplied if the patient requires.
Some patients will be discharged with drains in situ. Patients will receive education in regards to this prior to being discharged from the hospital.
Dr Geere will make phone contact with her Breast Cancer patients when their pathology results become available and make a follow-up plan for review.
